On December 21, the “WOMAN OF THE YEAR – 2024” and “DIYDOR SHIRIN” event was held for the first time abroad in Istanbul, organized by the O‘zbek xotin-qizlari huquqlarini himoya qilish jamiyati in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Istanbul. The opening ceremony began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan, creating an emotional and memorable atmosphere for all participants.

The opening speeches were delivered by Ozoda Subhanovna Islomova, Chairwoman of the “O‘zbek xotin-qizlari huquqlarini himoya qilish jamiyati,” and Fazliddin Samaritdinov, First Secretary of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.

The primary objective of the award ceremony was to support, encourage, and honor devoted Uzbek women living in Türkiye who have become exemplary figures in family life and child upbringing, contributed selflessly to the activities and development of the association in Istanbul, achieved success in both family and social life, and inspired other women through their dedication and achievements.

Awards and commemorative gifts were presented in the following categories:

• “Most Successful Businesswoman of the Year”

• “Most Active Consulate Employee”

• “Best Female Athlete of the Year”

As part of the event, guests were treated to a festive banquet featuring traditional Uzbek cuisine and a variety of delicacies.

Throughout the evening, Gulshan Khanim — founder of the “Mohi-Maqom” school, honorary member of the association, activist of the “Leader Women’s Club,” and a versatile artist — delivered beautiful live musical performances that created unforgettable moments for the audience.

Representatives of the Turkic World who attended the event highly appreciated the organization and praised its high level of professionalism. The event also received wide coverage and positive recognition in the Turkish media.

This meaningful gathering aims to strengthen solidarity among Uzbek women in Istanbul, encourage active participation in community initiatives, and support women contributing to the association’s development throughout the year. At the same time, it serves as an important platform for showcasing the knowledge, culture, spirituality, and potential of Uzbek women on the international stage.
