The 1st International Conference on Strengthening the Family Was Successfully Held at Istanbul Commerce University

The opening session of the International Conference on Strengthening the Family was held with the keynote speeches delivered by the Chair of the Board, the Rector of Istanbul Commerce University Prof. Dr. Necip Şimşek, the President of the Uzbek Women's Rights Association Ozoda Islomova, the General Manager of the Family Institute Ayşenur Çoban, and the Head of the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, Muhabbat Mirsolieva. Convened on February 16, 2026, at Istanbul Commerce University, the "1st International Conference on Strengthening the Family" was inaugurated at a high level and in a ceremonial manner with the meaningful and comprehensive addresses of the aforementioned speakers. Within the scope of the conference, commemorative gifts were presented during a ceremony by Ozoda Islomova, the President of the Uzbek Women's Rights Association, to the Rector of Istanbul Commerce University Prof. Dr. Necip Şimşek, the Chair of the Board of KADEM C. Sarı, Mrs. R. Şimşek, and Istanbul Commerce University Research Specialist G. Buzunoğlu.

Throughout the conference, current issues regarding the strengthening of family values, ensuring social stability, and supporting women and families were comprehensively discussed. Diverse national experiences, shared values, and academic studies were brought together on an international platform with the collective goal of reinforcing the family institution. During the event, traditional Uzbek national attire was ceremonially presented by our Association's President, Ms. Ozoda Islomova, to the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the KADEM Foundation, Ms. Sümeyye Erdoğan Bayraktar, and the Minister of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Türkiye, Ms. Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş.

Following the conclusion of the conference, distinguished guests gathered in a warm and elegant atmosphere at an official dinner hosted by KADEM, the Ministry of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Türkiye, and Istanbul Commerce University. We express our heartfelt gratitude to the KADEM delegation, the Ministry of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Türkiye, and the administration of Istanbul Commerce University for organizing this meaningful gathering at such a high level. We firmly believe that the immense interest and hospitality demonstrated throughout the event will further strengthen international cooperation.
