Within the scope of the “Turkic States Women Leaders’ Meeting - 2023” held in Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti, women leaders from Turkic states engaged in various discussions and exchanges over the course of the first and second days of the event, focusing on strengthening women’s rights and improving living conditions and opportunities for women.

On the first day of the program, the participants visited the memorial tomb of Rauf Denktaş, who played an important role in the development of the Turkish Cypriot state. They then met with the TMT and the “Association of Families of Martyrs and Disabled Veterans,” exchanging views and ideas. Later that day, upon the invitation of President Ersin Tatar, they visited Yakın Doğu Üniversitesi, toured his personal photography exhibition, and held a meeting with the President and First Lady Sibel Tatar.

On the second day of the program, the delegates visited the Republic Assembly of Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti, where they exchanged views with officials on women’s rights, the role of women in society, and the opportunities provided to them. Discussions continued on empowering women globally and promoting equal opportunities, followed by an award ceremony for distinguished women leaders. After the ceremony, an exhibition of Uzbek national clothing and handicrafts was organized, and the Mohi-Maqom ensemble from Uzbekistan performed traditional Uzbek music and songs, concluding the event with the presentation of commemorative gifts to the participants.
