An international conference entitled 'The Role of Women in Socio-Economic Development and Ensuring Societal Stability' has taken place.This prestigious forum is organized under the initiative of the Family and Women's Committee, in cooperation with the Research Institute of Family and Gender and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).  At the opening ceremony of the conference, Deputy Prime Minister and Chair of the Family and Women's Committee, Ms. Zulayho Mahkamova, delivered an address outlining the comprehensive systemic reforms implemented in our country to support women, enhance their socio-political and economic activity, and expand their engagement in science and innovation. Representatives of international organizations actively participated with key statements, including Mr. Stefan Buchmayer, Head of GIZ's Prevention of Violent Extremism in Central Asia Project; Ms. Nigina Abaszade, Head of the UNFPA Office in Uzbekistan; and Ambassador Antti Karttunen, OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan."
